Data Associate

Department: Quality Assessment Services
Location: Denver, CO

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for data entry, scoring and review, and scoring justification for Colorado Shines documentations submitted by early childhood programs. Ensure integrity and quality assurance standards for all Colorado Shines data and provide customer support to early childhood professionals when needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze and verify Colorado Shines child care provider data (e.g., documentation) on Workforce Qualifications and Professional Development, Learning Environment, Family Partnerships, Child Health, Business/Administrative Practices, Ratios/Group Size, and Accreditation by following established scoring and review procedures.
  • Provide customer service and support to child care providers with questions about application processes, documentation scanning/uploading, and general inquiries about program assessment, which includes supporting program/provider Q&A sessions.
  • Support the Quality Assessment Services team and Quality Assessment Data Manager. This includes file preparation, monthly data-tracking template preparation, scanning documents, and additional duties as assigned.
  • Maintain quality assurance for all Colorado Shines data including review of scoresheets and feedback reports to support the Quality Assessment Services Department and reduce overall errors.
  • Protect all Colorado Shines data by ensuring proper filing both electronic and physically and accounting for all required documentation. This includes supporting the Quality Assessment Services Department with these tasks and developing consistent procedures.
  • Attend all required trainings and meetings facilitated by the organization and other partners, and attend additional assigned trainings for position proficiency as needed

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:

Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Work experience in positions similar to this job: Two years of experience analyzing, editing, or reviewing data, or working in an early childhood setting.  


SPECIAL TRAINING OR EXPERIENCE:

Experience with or extensive knowledge of the Colorado Shines Rating criteria and documentation requirements preferred. Official trainer approval through Colorado’s Professional Development Information System, which includes the completion of online coursework related to adult learners.
